Who we are
This website is run by the Sweden-India Business Council. This page explains what personal data the site collects, why, and the choices you have.
Cookies and analytics
The site only sets analytics cookies (Google Analytics) after you choose “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and the site works exactly the same.
Analytics tells us which pages are visited and how people find the site. We don’t use it to identify individual visitors or members.
Forms you fill in
When you use the contact, membership, event or newsletter forms, the details you enter (such as your name, email address, company and message) are sent to GlueUp, the membership and events platform the Council uses to manage members, contacts and newsletters.
We use these details only to answer your enquiry, process your membership application, register you for events or send you the newsletter you asked for. You can unsubscribe from any newsletter using the link in each email.
The “Ask Sweden-India” assistant
The assistant answers questions using the Council’s own published website content. Please don’t share sensitive personal information in the chat.
Embedded videos
Some pages show YouTube videos. When you play one, YouTube may set its own cookies, under Google’s privacy policy.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. To do so, contact us through the contact page. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
